Privacy notice

JCS Advisory Limited, trading as FounderProof Advisory (“FounderProof”, “we”), is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of our work. You can reach us at calvin@founderproof.com or at the registered office above.

When you book a call, take the free self-assessment or use the contact form, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, company, work email, approximate revenue and what you tell us about your business. We use them to reply to you, to prepare for and hold the call you asked for, and to send the written view you requested. Our lawful basis is that we are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.

If you become a client, we process the personal data needed to deliver the engagement — contact details of your team and, where your systems contain it, data about your customers. We act on your written instructions under the engagement terms, with a confidentiality agreement in place before we are given access.

We may email or message people in relevant business roles (for example founders, managing directors and heads of sales or operations) about our services. We use business contact details only: name, job title, employer, work email, work phone, LinkedIn profile and company information such as sector, size and location. We get these from business data providers (such as Apollo.io and Instantly), public sources (company websites, LinkedIn, the CRO and Companies House) and referrals.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in telling businesses that may benefit about our services. We contact only people whose role makes the message relevant, keep messages short and few, and never use personal email addresses. Business emails are sent in line with the ePrivacy Regulations 2011 (S.I. 336/2011) in Ireland and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 in the UK. Every email tells you how to opt out. Reply “unsubscribe” or email calvin@founderproof.com and we stop straight away. We keep a record of our emails and your replies, and we do not use automated decision-making that has legal or similar effects on you.

We do not add you to a newsletter or automated sequence because you enquired. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use tracking for advertising on this site.

A small number of providers process data on our behalf: Webflow (website hosting and form submissions), HubSpot (meeting scheduling, CRM and email), Google Workspace (email, documents and file storage), Instantly (sending business email), Apollo.io and Instantly (business contact data), and e-signature and accounting providers for contracts and invoicing. We do not sell personal data. Some of these providers store data outside the European Economic Area or the UK; where they do, transfers rely on adequacy decisions (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the UK–US data bridge) or standard contractual clauses.

Enquiries and self-assessments that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back, then deleted. If we contacted you first and you do not engage, we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep only your email address on a suppression list so we never contact you again. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Access to client systems is removed at the end of every engagement.

You can object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop. You can also ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. If you are not satisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) in Ireland or, for UK residents, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

This site uses only the cookies needed for it to work and for Webflow to process form submissions. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
